Well, here we are in the middle of Respect Life Month. How is everyone doing? I know it can be a difficult time.

40 days for Life is in process in many locations across the country, and this past Sunday, Respect Life Sunday, many places had the annual life chain event, all good things, but sometimes painful for those post abortive

I must admit, even after being involved for over 20 years I still often feel "stuck in the middle" of the debate. I still cringe when I hear intentions that single out the women alone as sinners when it comes to abortion. I still have to check myself when I hear people saying they "saved the babies". Knowing the desperation so many women feel and that they felt unable to save their own babies I find it offensive at times. God saves the babies….people may be instruments but He is only one who can save…

I guess the main difference now from years ago is that I know I am a sinner and recognize we are all sinners in need of His Mercy. Instead of getting mad or wanting to lash out, I stop and say a prayer recognizing that there is still such a lack of understanding out there, but it has gotten much better.

The truth is, so many are responsible for abortion and although the woman ultimately make the decision it is often under great pressure from a wide range of people and circumstances. that of course, does not make it ok, abortion is never ok, but it shine more of a light on the whole thing, and exposes more of the entire truth…of abortions impact and responsibility.

May we all continue to place our trust in Our God of Mercy knowing heis the only one who can heal any of us…
