This article is from the NYT health section.
Dr Susan Wickland, an abortionist who flies places in order to perform abortions, has written a book "This Common Secret: My Journey as an Abortion Doctor"
One thing we agree on is the fact that no one really speaks of abortion but the women having them are our sisters and mothers etc. The commonalities stop there.
While she only does first trimester abortions she supports late term ones. She also feels that a 24 hour waiting period is about "controlling women" and an "insult" to women. I have to wonder if she believes it is insulting to women that those who are suffering are told their feelings are not legitimate.
Control seems to be a theme throughout the article, possibly a connector to her own abortion.
While she paints a heroic picture of herself as the caring abortionist, Dr Wicklund leaves out the fact that women still die from abortion, are left sterile and suffer psychologically and spiritually as a result .
"This Common Secret…" may be hidden, but the voices of women speaking out in truth of abortions harm is getting louder and louder.
