ok, I do not claim to be a great blogger. I originally began this blog as a way for the women and men we work with to keep in contact with one another. As you can see from the number of comments it gets, they are not really doing that but I do know from the stats and from talking to many of them , they are reading it.
While I would love to bloviate, most days it is just too busy to do more than post links and short comments. Still, I hope it gets information to you, you may otherwise not see.
Referrals at Lumina have been growing tremendously. That is a good thing. More and more people are coming forward for help for something the main stream would have everyone believe does not exist..post abortion stress.
Lately I have been thinking of a line in "The Jericho Plan" http://www.afterabortion.org/ , a book by Dave Reardon of The Elliot Institute (well worth reading). In it he speaks of the "critical mass" in post abortion healing. Having done this work for over 15 years now in some capacity, I feel like we are approaching that mass.
As more and more women and men find healing, the truth of abortions harm is getting out, therefore making it safe for more and more women and men to come forward.
I will always be grateful to Dave for pioneering this work. When I first met him he was a one man show and one of the only people I felt "got" my pain. It was such a relief to find out I was not crazy!
Well, I have obviously transgressed from the point…this may not be a great blog, but I get an "A" for effort, and it is done with a lot of compassion and love for those suffering….there is hope after abortion!
