Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

For the past 12 years I have been doing a post abortion ministry with The Sisters of Life here in NY.
We have been very blessed to see countless women and men receive joy in their lives again.

Many people ask where else the ministry is located. Although they do it in Vermont, the answer is, we have not sought to bring it elsewhere. I think we may be unique in that the Sisters play such a large role in the work in ministering to the people who come. It is our hope, that as the community grows, and more sisters are professed. they will delve into new territory and bring it with them. In the meantime, we are very busy here in NY, the abortion capital of the world!

People are certainly welcomed (and do)to come here to experience the ministry…we have both weekend retreats and "Days of Prayer & Healing". The sisters would welcome you with open arms…

As an off shoot of the work, 3 years ago Fr Mariusz Koch, CFR (He does some EWTN shows) of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and I began Days specifically for men. The days are hosted by the friars and a some of the men who are involved in the ministry . We found their concerns unique and believe they needed their own days…The friars are wonderful as are the men and this work is finally growing. The biggest challenge has been letting men know it exists.

Lastly, with the help of a wonderful couple, we had our first retreat for couples who aborted because of a poor prenatal diagnosis. We saw that this too had its own issues and wanted to give these couples a place to safely come and work through them. These retreats are also led by Fr Koch, CFR

God is so good as we work in our little corner of the world, seeking only the healing of souls through His mercy !
