About 48% of likely California voters said they support an initiative
on the state’s Nov. 4 ballot that would require parental notification
before minors could receive abortions, while 39% of likely voters said
they oppose it, according to a Field Poll released earlier this week,
the Contra Costa Times
reports. The poll was conducted among 672 likely voters and had a
margin of error of plus or minus 5.6 percentage points (Harmon, Contra Costa Times, 7/22).

I never could understand how a country that makes a school get permission to give a kid an aspirin would allow abortion without parental consent. I am glad to see this is on the ballot where the people can vote to support or reject it.
As someone pressured to have an abortion by my dad, I still believe parental notification is good…at least the mistake we made is in our family and were able to work through it. The idea of a stranger taking a child for an life altering abortion without parental knowledge is beyond terrible.
I cannot tell you how many teens who are post abortive I have seen who tell me their parents know they have changed, but do not know why…
The argument of abuse does not fly especially in the face of Planned Parenthood and others who use it as an excuse while they, at the same time voice no objection when women are killed by boyfriends, or in many other abuse cases.
It is time to get the truth out there and allow parents to parent their children according to their morals and values.
I am happy to see most Californians want that too!
