Silent No More

I have received an email chastising me for my voting reflection. The writer felt it was a political statement and that being a good catholic I offended him calling it a "misuse" of the website and "hollow".

Even though the response was not posted here,I do want to address it since I am sure there may be others reflecting the same feelings.

My intent was not to offend anyone.I wrote my reflection as a post abortive woman and I certainly have a right to my feelings. Take them or leave them it is up to you.  In addition to that email, I have received countless others, from post abortive women  thanking me for posting the reflection because it mirrored what they are feeling today.

I will not hide behind the threat of politics to deny my feelings. I know what is true about abortion…I saw my son. Society has asked me to deny my feelings surrounding abortion for years. It left me depressed, feeling crazy and alone, and I will never allow it to do that to me again. People are free or not to read these posts. My reflection was one to other post abortive women who I knew would be experiencing the same feeelings as I have had today.

I did not tell anyone who to vote for…if you are comfortable with your decision my opinion should not rattle you.

Once again, the Lord of all Life is in charge….
