Do not loose heart for we have a Glorious Expectation!

Greetings!
This morning I attended mass at a neighboring parish because
mine was “closed for cleaning”! I thought it was pretty strange that mass was
not held at all, and I admit, gave in to some grumbling, but I proceeded to go to the neighboring
parish for mass. When I entered, I noticed a banner hanging on the side of the
altar with the words:
“Do not loose heart
for we have a Glorious Expectation!”
It is so easy to forget that. We can get caught up in daily
life, in the bad news we hear from around the world, in our own country, and
even in the troubles that we may be experiencing in our own families in this
time of economic crisis. The banner that greeted me this morning was a
wonderful reminder that the only thing that truly matters is our relationship
with Our Lord of Mercy, and the “glorious
expectation” of His birth as we celebrate this advent season.
I left mass this morning looking at things a different way, grateful
that my parish was closed for cleaning, and that my heart was cleansed by the
grace filled reminder of that banner “Do
not loose heart for we have a Glorious Expectation! Jesus Christ!

Commission on the
Status of Women
The 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women
will be held at the United Nations headquarters in New York from 2 to 13 March 2009.

more abortion throughout the world. This Commission is an opportunity to speak
out to the harm of abortion as a post abortive person
through participation in its events. Not everyone is ready
for this and certainly there is no pressure to attend, but if you think you are
ready (have reached a good level of healing) and feel called by God to go,
please contact: molly@redeemedforlife.com
