So many who are post abortive think if they do this or that that God will forgive and love them. The focus of their healing is placed on them instead of on Him. If I pray this much, or do these good deeds,  if I pray in front of clinics etc etc etc The truth is God loves us because He is love and He died for our sins…that of course does not mean we can go around doing whatever we want. We are called to conversion and to His life in nus.

In my own healing, when i was able to internalize this and recognize my healing had nothing to do with who I was and everything to do with who He was, it was freeing. Allowing Him to love me in my misery gave me the courage and strength I needed to look at my abortion honestly. I was able to understand and accept where I was at the time, obviously far from God.

we don't have to do it alone..He is there with us each and every day. We may not feel His presence. In fact, we may feel He has abandoned us, but He never does that. He gently guides us to healing…revealing our sinfulness to us one step at a time in the light of His…it is only there we are able to look at the reality of our abortions…
