A humble soul

pg 249, St. Faustina says, "A humble soul does not trust itself, but places all its confidence in God."

I have spoken about being unable to forgive yourself after abortion even after you have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We may not realize it, but this is our pride…we believe we don't deserve forgiveness (and we probably don't, but that is not the point).

The point is, we must put our confidence in the goodness of God and trust in His mercy for us. We cannot put our trust in ourselves. It is not about what we have done or what we can do, but only in HIM and what He has done.

God is Mercy…let that thought permeate you…bring Him your sorrow and your humility and desire to do His will and He will do the rest. You can't…it is impossible for us humanly, but He can do it in you if you allow Him to.

Lord, teach us true humility that we may always trust in your mercy for us and seek your will in our lives knowing your great love for us.
