"Some were in life- or health-threatening situations; some had just discovered that their fetus had fatal anomalies; some were just-pubescent girls who had concealed their pregnancies, perhaps because they had been raped or incested. And some, like Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Martha Mendoza, were carrying a fetus that had died in utero and wanted it removed as soon as possible."
Such are the words from MS Magazine online statement "Why Tillers Work Mattered". http://www.msmagazine.com/
I have to admit, I am a little confused. On the one hand they claim to be experts on this topic, but the misinformation in just this short statement is amazing.
My first question would be..what about the just-pubescent girls getting abortions at Planned Parenthood which were shown to have concealed abuse by adults, even in the case of rape and incest? I do not think there was any article in the magazine about them. O rhow about the ones who abort without parental consent and then suffer for years after?
Secondly and more misleading is Martha Mendozas heartbreaking story. Though I sympathize with her, if her baby was dead in utero, it was not an abortion! Abortion is the killing of a baby in the womb.
I a tired of the lies to women who deserve to know the entire truth about abortion.
I mourn for those women I know who went to Tiller and allowed him to kill their children because they trusted the medical community only to find out the horror of what was.
As heart wrenching as Marthas story is this one from one from a Tiller's patient. I'll bet Ms. magazine won't publish this:
