A letter I sent to the Albany TimesUnion in response to Kelli Conlins, President of NARAL's letter about the threat of the Reproductive health act.
Here is her letter

Here is Mine:
To the Editor:
There is one thing I agree with Kelli Conlin, the president of NARAL Pro
Choice NY on, our state government is a political circus! However, our
opinions, differ greatly from that point on.
As a post abortive woman who has worked for close to twenty years with
other women who have suffered from a past abortion, I, in no way, want
to see the Reproductive Health Act passed.
As it stands now, abortion is already protected in New York. The chances
of that ever changing are next to none. Organizations such as NARAL try
to make us believe they have women's best interests at heart, but the
only interest they really have, is to make abortion legal at any time,
for any reason, in any way.
We have gone from the lie of "it is just a blob of tissue" to, in
Kelli's own words, "the fundamental right to chose abortion." To think
that abortions are performed only when a woman's health or life is in
danger is so far from true it is ridiculous. Anyone knows that.
If women were really the concern of NARAL, we would have seen support
for Women's Right to Know legislation which would give women all the
facts about the dangers of abortion, physically, and psychologically. I
do not see them pushing any legislation for that in Albany, in fact they
go out of their way to deny our experiences and have fought against
every piece of legislation to protect women from these dangers.
If they cared about women, we would see articles of outrage when a woman
is injured from abortion and not able to have other children, or if a
woman dies from "safe, legal abortion", or is killed because she does
not want to abort, yet NARAL is silent.
If women were what they cared about, they would seek to have Parental
Notification for minor girls, who all too often, I have seen in a
suicidal state because they made a life changing decision such as
abortion without the knowledge or direction of their parents, who love
them most.
NARAL and other pro abortion extremists try to silence the voices of
those of us who have been hurt by abortion. They even go to great
lengths to deny our experiences, but they cannot drown us out. Our
voices are growing and being heard. Families are finding out firsthand
that abortion does more than kill a baby in utero, it hurts countless
people and is impacting many families.
The Reproduction Health Act is not about women's health, it is about the
enshrinement of abortion, and as evidenced in recent polls, Americans
don't want that.
