Just got this note from her today:
Just a super quick update to let you know that we are leaving for
Gainesville tomorrow. Surgery is on Tuesday. Kinda scared about the
surgery, TOTALLY TERRIFIED about the final diagnosis. (Ew, I don't
even like the way that sounds: "Final Diagnosis"–sounds like a horror
film title that should be accompanied by evil, villainous laughter,
muhahahahaaaaa.) Anyway, it's life or death, and only God knows.
Please, PLEASE keep praying for me. Pray that it's NOT
adenocarcinoma. Pray that it's benign. If it can't be benign, please
pray that it's the lowest grade pancreatic cancer a human being can
get, one that I can be cured of, survive and still live long enough to
rock my great grandbabies, should God bless me with any.
You'll be getting an update blast on Tuesday, so you'll know how I'm doing before I do.
Enclosed are a few pictures of me and the kids (thank you all who were
involved in that wonderful idea); please feel free to print them out,
add them to your blogs, take them to church, show people we are real,
this is really happening, and please PRAY FOR A MIRACLE.
