I Believe in love II

"It is a ruse of the devil to keep putting our sins before our eyes in order to make them like a screen between the Savior and us. ..Our faults must remain for us a source of humility and repentance, but especially a source of immense thankfulness for the forgiveness we have received(if a Catholic after confession), a source of limitless faith in a limitless mercy, a faith, moreover which to the extent that it is filled with love obtains the remission of the punishment we deserve for our sins."

There is no doubt the devil tries to continue to tempt us into despair when we seek healing. Many people confess the sin of abortion countless times because they do not "feel" forgiven. It is important at these times to claim the forgiveness given us by Jesus…because you are forgiven!

The impact of the sin leaves its issues to work through, but the forgiveness is there. Chase the devil away. Do not allow Him to tell you you are not forgiven.Do not listen to his promptings. He is a liar…Jesus is truth.

Pick up the phone and call someone for support who can help you when you are feeling this way…go speak to a clergy person…remember the effects of sin can remain even after forgiveness, so get the help you need but never doubt that Jesus has forgiven you….
