I will be heading out in a while to attend the mass of vows for the Sisters of Life who I work with in the "Entering Canaan" ministry.
As Jesus was transfigured on the mountain, each year, since their beginnings, being founded by John Cardinal O'Connor in 1991, I have been blessed to witness more young women being "transfigured" by the grace of God as they make their vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and, in the case of the Sisters of Life, to protect and enhance the sacredness of every human life.
I love this day not only because we are so blessed to see the community grow, but because I feel, on this day, especially close to Cardinal O'Connor, who I know smiles from heaven, as he witnesses the growth of this beautiful community.
Hopefully, I will have some pictures to post later!
Please say a prayer for those making vows…
