Suffering

No one likes to suffer. Our human nature recoils from it. Our society makes it seem like an unnecessary evil, but is it?

God knows, there is a lot of suffering from abortion, and sometimes the suffering we have to walk through to reach healing seems insurmountable. It can appear it is not going to end, or that we can not endure another minute.

We are not called to carry the cross of suffering alone. Jesus is there with us helping us to bear our burden. He tells us that He will be with us all the way, whether we feel His presence or not. Trust in that.

When the pain of abortion seems too much to handle, reach out to those who have gone before you. Learn how to deal with the feelings that are assailing you through prayer, understanding and patience.

It is not easy, but little by little it does get better and there are many places out there that know what you are going through and are waiting to help you.
