Thanks to Kathy for forwarding this article to me. It is loaded and to be honest I do not know where to begin so I will probably come back to it over the next few days.

First of all I want to say that my heart aches for this woman,Vilar, who aborted 16 babies and who obviously has had great trauma in her life which you can catch a glimpse of on her web site listed below.

She states she is "committed to eliminating the stigma of abortion", and wants people to see it as a "moral decision without stigma". Sadly for her, I can guarantee that will not happen. It is just not natural for a woman to take the life of her own child, and so, there will always be a stigma attached to abortion, which I believe is growing as people are coming to realize that even the "good for women" pushed by the pro abortion segment is proving to be false.

I must admit, I had no idea about the forced sterilization led by the US she speaks about. It horrifies me, yet my second thought is the other people who want the stigma to go away with abortion are Planned Parenthood who is probably the organization behind that sterilization. Perhaps Vilar should see who she is assisting by her commitment.

Of course, the American Psychological Associations denial of PAS is mentioned in the article. For me this carrie No weight as they are beginning to make themselves look like fools for continuing to deny the negative impact of abortion while countless women who have experienced it are saying other wise.

Mostly, I am going to pray for Vilar, who is deeply wounded in more ways then one. May she find her way to Gods unfailing Mercy and love and the example of the Blessed Mother so that she no longer feels that
everything she is doing as a wife and mother is wrong, but she embraces her vocation with peace and love.

Repeat Abortions Baffle Experts, as Author Irene Vilar Explores Her 'Impossible Motherhood'

By SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES

Sept. 21, 2009—

Irene Vilar worries that her self-described "abortion addiction" will
be misunderstood, twisted by the pro-life movement to deny women the
right to choose.

Her book, "Impossible Motherhood,"
which will be released by Random House on Oct. 6, chronicles her own
dark choices: 16 abortions in 15 years, much of it as a married woman.

As press on the book has begun to leak out, Vilar — a literary
agent and editor — says she has already sensed "an inkling of
hatred."

Vilar has scheduled only closed-door interviews and will not do
a book tour. At the urging of her husband, they have made sure all
public property records do not reflect her name, so she cannot be
targeted at their home.

"I am worried about my safety and the hate mail," she told
ABCNews.com in a telephone interview as her home-schooled children were
at work on a painting project.

"No book like this has ever been written," she told
ABCNews.com. "I just imagine the 'baby killer' and I could be a poster
child for that kind of fundamentalism. And there are my little kids in
all of that."

Read an excerpt from "Impossible Motherhood."

Today, at 40, the Latina author has two young children, but her troubled past continues to haunt her well into motherhood.

She grew up in the shadow of her notorious grandmother Puerto Rican nationalist Lolita Lebron,
who stormed the Capitol steps with a gun in 1954. Lebron served 25
years in jail for the crime until receiving a pardon from President
Carter in 1979.

Her mother committed suicide by throwing herself in front of a
moving car when Vilar was 8 and two of her brothers were heroin
addicts.
