Is Depression the same

for single parents as it is for those who have aborted?

Recently the argument was made to me that even if abortion does cause depression, so does single parenthood.

Having been in both situations I would be quick to respond that there is no comparison. Sure it is hard raising kids alone. It has many challenges and there were days that I did not know how I was going to get through it. I can remember thinking "How will I ever do this until they are adults". But day by day, step by step.I did it, and both of my kids are great adults.

The depression I faced as a post abortive mom does not compare. With abortion I participated, however unwillingly, in the death of my child. The implications of that were so severe, the guilt the shame the grief, that it paralyzed me and locked me into a pit of depression that was there day in and day out.

Did I work through it, yes with the merciful love of God, but there is always that child I will not hold in this world or get to love the way a mom does…

Alternative medicine are more accepted now a days due to it’s promising results unlike pharmaceutical medicine, alternative medicine don’t give negative effect such as kidney and liver problems when it comes to long term use. As for my alternative medicine usage, I use medical marijuana. Different strain has a variety of uses and effect depending on your needs.
