Today is designated as "Respect Life Sunday" in the Catholic church. Homilies throughout the nation should be focused on the sanctity of human life. People will be participating in Life chains and 40 Days for Life across the country.It can be a tough day for those of you who have not, or even are just beginning your journey of healing.

Chances are you may hear some things that may bring stabs of hurt to your heart. You may wonder how these pro lifers can "save the babies" when you did not even feel like you could save your own. You may feel judged and condemned if those you come in contact with have no understanding of post abortion, or you may feel unworthy to say anything about respecting human life.

Pope John Paul the II, in The Gospel of Life, spoke of post abortive women and men becoming "the greatest defenders of human life". Dave Reardon in the Jericho Plan asks :"who better to speak for the children then those who mourn".

Your voice is important and more than anyone you deserve to be heard…you have lost your children to the scourge of abortion. So, go to a Life Chain or a 40 Days, and if you are not ready for that, say extra prayers for those who may to touched today and thank God for the many people taking to the streets to defend human life.
