Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

OK, so, as I mentioned in a post yesterday, I went to join interns from Expectant Mother Care http://www.emcfrontline.org/  outside of Dr Emily's in the South Bronx where they go 4 days a week to offer help to those seeking an abortion.

Dr Emily's has been around for ages and as you can tell from their site it is all about abortion http://www.dremily.com/ . 

From what I have been told, Saturday mornings they are joined by pro abortion crowds proposing to "protect" the women entering the clinic from the pro lifers offering them alternatives.

"As one staff member described, the anti-choice forces
"use scare tactics, they molest people coming here. They show them the
little fetus doll in a box." The staff posted signs at the clinic
entrances, informing patients that they have the right to "tell anti-abortion

Of course, it is ok to not mind your own business when it comes to teens having abortions without parental consent, or giving women the full truth about the dangers of abortion, which brings me to my observations while standing there with my "I Regret My Abortion" sign.

Two signs at the clinic struck me as a post abortive woman.. The main sign

"Health" center…the word "health" brings to mind wellness, peace. joy…positive images, while Dr Emily's clinic does nothing but destroy, killing babies daily and leaving countless women unhealthy physically, mentally and spiritually.

But the craziest sign I saw was this one:

 
If it were not such a serious place, I would have laughed…the sign is clearly a warning about the pro lifers, who they try to project as a danger, but we all know where the real danger is.

The real danger is in the destruction of our babies, the possibility of death, the injury that sometimes leaves women unable to have other children, the depression from having participated in the death of your own child, the destruction of your family because of this decision, the alienation from God, the self hate, guilt, shame and grief, etc etc.

The sign outside of Dr Emily's should read this way:

I pray for God to touch many hearts at Dr Emily's and at all abortion clinics…
