Fear is useless

“Fear is useless;

what is needed is trust.”

Mark 5:36

The subject of abortion in the news can become overwhelming.
Add to that the Advent/Christmas season and the feelings we may be experiencing
can be difficult this time of year.

  • Loss of control over our lives
  • Grief/mourning
  • Anger
  • Guilt
  • Fear
  • Anxiety

Perhaps one of the strongest feelings is fear…fear of being
found out…fear of relationships…fear of doctors…fear of what is going to happen
next, etc etc.

Fear locks us into behaviors. It binds us to ourselves and
cheats us out of being whole and living life to the fullest. We need to move on
in spite of any fear we are feeling, to trust in God and His love for us.

To know that we are in His hands and He knows what is best
for us no matter how things look to us.

Do we believe Christ has already won the battle both in
relation to our personal abortions?

How are you afraid? What limitations does your fear put on
you?

What steps are you taking to move past fear as you learn to
trust in Jesus?

Are you afraid to share (in the appropriate place) about
your abortion?

If so, what is the fear?

Fear brings isolation, Jesus does not want us to be alone.
He wants us to allow ourselves to be truly loved.

Do you trust in His love for you…with trust, fear
diminishes…

Has your fear lessened as you have grown in understanding
and faith?
