I must admit just writing the title to this blog sends up a ton of emotions for me. It has always made complete sense to me that abortion would increase the risk for breast cancer.
Women have been denied the truth of this link, all in quest to keep abortion legal and continue to make it seem like it has no adverse effects, much like they do with the psychological impact being denied by the APA.
There have been some great pioneers out there proclaiming the truth, like Dr's Joel Brind and Angela Lanfranchi. You can check out their site here http://www.abortionbreastcancer.com/abc.html
Now we are told through LIFENews, http://www.lifenews.com/nat5850.html that a researcher, from The National Cancer Institute which has denied the link, has now done a study where they admit a 20 and 50 percent increased in breast cancer risk for women having
abortions , and a 320% risk increase for breast cancer by those using oral contraceptives over those who never
used contraception. Why is this not front page news? The
study, by Jessica Dolle, is in the April, 2009 issue
of the prestigious cancer epidemiology journal Cancer Epidemiology,
Biomarkers and Prevention.
Over my years doing post abortion work I have come in contact with many women who have had breast cancer. Some went through treatment and are now, thank God, doing fine, but some have lost the battle. People like Laurie, a gentle loving woman who came to us already diagnosed. After a time, the cancer traveled to her brain and claimed her life. Thank God, Laurie had a chance to work through her abortion issues and died in the peace of Christ.
Right now, a friend Charnette Messe who has suffered with cancer for many years, continues to fight against the disease. Unfortunately, the cancer has also spread to her brain. Charnette is a talented, brave, incredible woman, who speaks out in truth about abortion. She is also the mom of two small children. You can read about her here:http://www.charnettemesse.com/bc.html
And so, my emotions run high as learned yesterday Charnette has been found with additional tumors and continues to fight the fight . It makes me angry that she and millions of other women were denied the knowledge of the link between abortion and breast cancer.
Please keep Charnette and her family, and all the other women who are suffering in your prayers. May their suffering bring the truth of the link between abortion and breast cancer into the light.
