A note from Sr Lucy regarding our "Morning of Prayerful Remembrance" at St Patrick's:
I had to share some graces with all of
you – these are only the ones that we know of that our Lord has shown
us.
As you know, the next day on Sunday we went to the 10:15am
Mass at the Cathedral – the prolife Mass with the Knights of Columbus and
Archbishop Dolan. It was beautiful! As I started walking out one someone
stopped me and said (in a thick NY accent!), “Sister… I was there yesterday
at that prayer service. You know… I was never one way or the other on this
issue…. But after hearing those witnesses yesterday I’m converted. I couldn’t
sleep that night. I know what is happening in Haiti is awful but this (what
abortion does to people) is worse!” He kept going on and on…. An innocent
bystander watching and hearing that day and now his life has been
changed!
Sr. Margaret had a woman that she encountered that Saturday
who was going to confession and it had been 22 years since her abortion!
Then James (one of our volunteer readers) came up to me at the Cathedral at the Sunday Mass
(he can recount the story better) – and he met a woman there who had been to the
event the previous day and she recognized him. She was deeply moved by the
witness that he read – and told him that it was the first event she had ever
attended and it had been 27 years since her abortion.
Praise the good Lord – how can we thank Him for these graces
and mercies! … people’s
lives have been forever changed.
Amen..praise God!
