Stung' abortionist retains license

A controversial California abortionist will keep his medical license in spite of pleas from the California Medical Board.

Rutland was previously permitted to continue a limited practice, but
had been barred from performing surgeries and delivering babies (related story).
In an undercover phone call about receiving an abortion, the
receptionist was willing to make an appointment for an afternoon
surgical abortion with Rutland.

Undercover female:
"My friend, I guess she had…the procedure done there. She told me to
specifically try to get an appointment with Dr. Rutland. Is that
possible?"
Receptionist: "Yes, absolutely."

An appointment was then made for a surgical abortion that afternoon.
