Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

Ok..I
know I should not even read this stuff. It makes me so angry.

Dr Anne Davis, assistant professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City has written an article for RH Reality Check, "The Myth of "Abortion Trauma Syndrome". http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/node/13797

Obviously, Dr Davis is completely out of touch with thousands and thousands(perhaps even millions) of women who are post abortive and would disagree her rant. Talk about sending out signals of what you are not allowed to say! No wonder women are in denial or suffering silently!

It is evident this woman is less about patients then the enshrinement of abortion. I feel so sorry for the women who go to her, especially if they are suffering from a past abortion!

She says, "  I have never seen a patient who developed a serious psychiatric problem just because she had an abortion." Call me Dr Davis, I am relatively close to you and I can set you up with a few! In fact, we would love to visit you!

I think all
of us PA women out there should write to Dr Davis and set her
straight. In fact, I am going to write to her and ask to meet. Let's see if she is open to the truth.

Her thinking, and her trying to impress others with her truth because she is a doctor, is not going to work anymore. Too many women are coming forward to discredit what she is saying…too many others are seeing the devastation of abortion on women they love.

Post abortion trauma is anything but a myth and women deserve to be healed and have their very real feelings legitimized.

Dr Davis closes her article with : "Dr. Stotland and I and our colleagues across the country do our best to
treat patients and give advice based on the strongest medical evidence.
That is our duty. We will challenge any bunk meant to separate women
from the care they need."

So will we Dr Davis!
