As someone who, as a teen,was pressured to abort by my parents  I know what abortion can do, not only to the baby and teen, but to the family. My parents messed up big time, but at least it was my parents and not some stranger involved in the abortion decision. 

The pro abortion lobby wants it one way when it fits one need,  and another when it fits a different one. They believe minors should be able to get a life altering abortion without parental consent, but in here NY through Bill #371 they say women are so dumb they are not able to figure out that CPC's with names like "Expectant Mother Care", "Bridge t o Life", "Pregnancy Help" , "Good Counsel" do not provide abortions…

Which is it ? Are we so smart, minors do not need parental consent or so dumb we are not able to figure out what CPC's do?

There's support from some quarters for a law that allows teenagers to keep abortions secret from their parents.

The Sunday Star-Times sparked the debate with a story of a shocked parent's outrage that her daughter had an abortion arranged by her school counsellor without the mother's knowledge.

The 2004 Care of Children Act means girls under 16 can get an abortion without telling their parents.

"When it comes to contraception and abortion, they [counsellors] would need the consent of the person before they could share information with a parent or the school," lawyer Kathryn Dalziel told the paper.
