A poem written by a post abortive woman who was feeling judged.
A Glimpse of His Mercy
You look at me and judge me
You can’t accept the fact
That somehow I have gotten peace
Through a mercy that you lack
You feel forever’s not enough
For me to feel the pain
For having killed my unborn child
You’d never lift the stain
You think the fight is only won
by focusing on the child
“Murderer” you’re known to shout,
“She should live reviled”
But no matter how intense
There is something you’ve forgotten,
Within my womb and nowhere else
my child was begotten
And Jesus through His Mercy
Desires me to be
Reunited with my child for all eternity
I thank the Lord for showing me His mercy and His love
And anticipate with gratitude the thought of heaven above
And so before you damn me for all eternity
Perhaps you should remember His mercy shown to me.
