We often forget this, we still have this image of a mean God almost gleefully waiting in the shadows to punish us for our sins but that is not who God is.

We get confused by our own reactions and feelings. We mistake the consequences of the harm our sin has done to us as a punishing God when in fact it is just that consequences of the harm we have done to ourselves.

The very reason it is a sin is because it separates us from the peace of God and He wants us to avoid it so we will not have to suffer! So, goto your Father who will help you in dealing with the consequences and heal you and give you HIs mercy , forgiveness and peace…
