For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.

Seems there are so many attacks lately against ministries and people. It is easy to get caught up in speculation because of the many things we hear. I think if we turned the time we spent speculating into praying we would all be much better off.

The bottom line is, we are ALL sinners in need of His mercy. The laity, religious and clergy, whether priest, bishop or, yes, even pope (and I am sure he would be the 1st to agree).No one is without sin. "There is no one righteous, not even one"(Romans).

God allows some things we may not be able to undertsand, for a reason. In the end, we need to trust in His love for us knowing whatever happens, He loves each and everyone of us in spite of our sinfulness, in fact that is why He died on the cross! So, in the midst of all the turmoil and attacks, let's remember to Lift high the Cross..the means of our salvation and the destruction of evil!

Let's pray and trust in the love of God for each of us, for perserverence and strength for all, and above all a love of God and a desire to do His will above all else.
