Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

Did Lady GaGa really have an abortion or is this video to "Marry the Night" just a stunt? Who knows, but I can tell you this, she knows a lot about the aftermath of abortion.

So, just my first thoughts . This video is loaded with post abortion issues, but it would take a long time to go through them all. The destructive behavior, the regret, the shame, it is all there. Certainly makes her turn from the faith understandable, and I heard her pain when she said her mom was a saint. Hard to live up to. Sad…she expressed that, "giving up because I am damned anyway", sense that so many of us have felt.

She talks about trying to "fill in the holes and it make it beautiful again" but she
will find out (and maybe already has) that nothing can fill those holes no matter how many designer fashions she wears. If it is true, and she did have an abortion, it seems from the song like she did it for her career, and then says, now,  "I have nothing left to loose" So, I do sense regret.

She also shows  a bunch of women acting crazy in the clinic, which is certainly not far from true. I am sure many of our psychiatric hospitals are filled with women who have had abortions and whose experiences and feelings have not only been denied but they have been told they do not exist. Many have been coerced by boyfriends, husbands, parents etc. I know many of those women who then came for help and
were never hospitalized again once their abortions were addressed .

In the end I pray Lady Gaga finds the peace, love and mercy of Christ …it beats anything any fashion designer can give her and He is waiting for her!
