Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

Lord, help us to lead each soul to You, the only true Healer.

Never allow us to exploit those you send to us

for what we may see as the good of the cause

or to show the wrong of abortion.

Help us to always value the dignity and worth of each life

Including all those touched by abortion.

May we never tell them where we think they should be,

or to do what we think they should be doing,

but may we always prayerfully and lovingly place them into your hands

knowing you will direct their paths through a spiritual leader

while also learning about the dynamics of post abortion.

May those we serve never hurt their families deeper

by speaking out before telling them of a lost sibling or family member

May healing first come from within and in each of their families members

who have been wounded by the sin of abortion,

 knowing your great love and desire for their healing first and foremost.

Let us not put our trust in any leader aside from You

knowing you are the only one who can end abortion

We know oh Lord that if we serve without self seeking,

You will do the rest because you know before all others

 what our needs are and you love us more than we can ever love.

Help us always to keep our eyes on You no matter how things seem

 knowing if we do this we can never fail in spite of how things may look

 or what our emotions may be telling us.

Remind us always of the “failure” of Calvary in the eyes of the world

And yet, in truth, it is there our redemption, the greatest victory, was won.

We thank you Lord, for the gift of your Love and Mercy

and for the gift of faith you have given us.

Guide us in this next year to be true disciples of your life.

May many return to You, the source of Life, You, who are Mercy itself.
