Today is the anniversary of my consecration to Mary but also of the death of a very close friend Fr Michael Sepp.
During Father Michael illness we spoke of suffering. He knew I was no stranger to suffering . In the 20 years I had known him we had spoken many times of my abortion and before he became so busy with his parishes he directed our "Entering Canaan" http://www.sistersoflife.org/ec.html ministry on some retreats.
Brothers and sisters:
Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
but we proclaim Christ crucified,
In his suffering I know Father Michael proclaimed Christ crucified as he joined his sufferings with Christ. The power of the cross, that calls us to faith , love, trust, and ultimately the Resurrection.
Many people despair over the thought of where their children are after abortion. Pope John Paul II told us in the Gospel of Life that they are “living in the Lord”.
I am excited that Father Michael will now meet my son Joshua who he has heard about for so many years. This thought brings me comfort and joy. I know he will also meet other unborn children, those
known to him and those he will find out about for the first time. I have no doubt he will embrace them all with great love when he greets them.
I also know Father will be interceding for the parents of these children to find hope and healing in the Lord if they have not done so already. If you are suffering from a past abortion reach out for help…you can call us at 1-877-586-4621….God’s mercy is waiting for you!
