Yes, you heard me, HAPPY Mother’s Day! Many of you are probably thinking I am crazy…how can Mother’s Day be happy when we have had abortions, but the truth is, it can!

 Don’t get me wrong, I know the struggles that come with the day. I can still, to this day, remember one particular Mother’s Day, pushing a carriage with my two sons through my home town, crying, and not even recognizing it was because I was grieving the loss of my aborted son. It was always a very painful day for me.

 Now that Jesus has granted me healing and I have learned about and worked through my abortion, I am able to enjoy the day and thank God for the gift of my sons…all three of them!

 In His divine plan, God chose you to be the mom to your children. Whether they are here or in heaven, you are still their mom. As you move past their death and learn to focus on the living of your unborn child, you will come to see there is much to be grateful for, especially the promise of eternal life where we will be with them forever.

 Your children desire your peace, your joy and your healing, and so does God. I pray for each of you, that you receive the gift of that peace from them this Mother’s Day knowing that Mercy Himself has forgiven you of your sin!

 May Mary, Our Mother of Mercy, fill your heart with His love.
