Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

It i s no secret that forgiving ourselves is the often the hardest part of post abortion healing. Just today, I received a call from a woman who said to me, "I do not think that God should forgive people who kill their children." My response, "Well then, thank goodness you are not God!"

So often we base what we expect on the feeling we ourselves have. We cannot get past our own emotions and focus on the only ONE who can heal us. We get stuck on "self" instead of the selflessness of Christ.

As we approach friday, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the heart full of love for us, let us ask Jesus to allow us to love with His love and to accept in our own hearts the love He died to give us.

May we bask in that love immersing ourselves in His truth instead of our "self"!
