Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

I was looking around the web today for some information on post abortion healing resources around the country. I always love it when I find new ministries, or the blogs of post abortive people sharing their feelings. Having spent years feeling isolated and alone in my feelings, it brings such hope to know there are so many resources out there for people lookig for help, and I know there are countless numbers of us out there.

In my quest, a web search brought up "The National Abortion Federation" site. It did not take long, or very much reading, before I found myself angry. I have to give them credit, they attack post abortion head on with denials.

"Many people are interested in learning about the possible effects of abortion on women's emotional well-being, and several hundred studies have been conducted on this issue since the late 1970s. Unfortunately, much of the research on women's psychological responses to abortion can be confusing. Nonetheless, mainstream medical opinions, like that of the American Psychological Association, agree there is no such thing as "post-abortion syndrome.""

Really? I am so sick of all these pro abortion people telling me what I experienced and felt. This site is full of biased propaganda and lies, and although they continuously blame the pro life side,I am sure things like this have locked thousands into the silent suffering of abortion.In fact, I know it has.

For all their talk of caring for women, never have I heard of any post abortion healing group being included in their studies. These self professed "experts" know nothing about what we experienced.

My prayer fo r them is that they begin to recognize the damage they have done to countless women by their denial of the very real negative impact of abortion, and that anyone who has sought help and found their lies will continue to look for real help.

You are not crazy or alone. There are millions of us out here who have experienced the same thing in spite of what these "experts" say. Keep seeking help..we are here for you, we know, we have experienced it and we care about you!
