Well, I am back! Had a wonderful 3 weeks of rest, renewal and fun and am ready to begin this coming year spreading the word of God's incredible mercy and healing for those who have had abortions.I especially want to thank MB for covering the phones and a certain family (you know who you are) for doing my newsletter mailing while I was away.

I came back to countless emails and messages(over 1000) and so I will be spending today going through them all and getting back to everyone, hopefully by weeks end.

Lots to blog about, but for today I just thought I would share my thoughts on the Father Benedict's ordeal which I have received many emails about. I think the friars themselves have explained it best here: http://franciscanfriars.com/for-immediate-release-august-30-2102/

I have known Father Benedict for over 20 years. One thing I have learned for sure in life, we are ALL sinners in need of God's mercy. We all make mistakes, we all fall short of the glory of God.

The recent incident with Fr Benedict is no exception. Knowing him for over 20 years I can not imagine him blaming a victim for child abuse. Anyone who knows Father can attest to the fact that he has aged, is ill, and would be the 1st to admit he becomes scattered in his thinking and speaking. This of course in no way justifies what he said, but it does help to understand how it happened.

He has apologized. He has given us decades of love bringing God's mercy to millions through his books, shows and counsel. Now is the time to show and give him the same mercy of Christ he has shown us.

Please keep him and all who have been hurt by this in your prayers.
