Happy to be hearing from more and more people from the ministry after hurricane Sandy.

While I am still waiting to hear from some, everyone so far is safe although there has been a lot of destruction to property etc. and many are still without power.

Please keep praying.

Hurricane Help

My prayers and thoughts are with all of you who
have been affected by this storm. There are a lot of people who need some help.
Here are some things going on for those who are in need of help. Here is also
some info for those who might be able to help some people who are in
need:

*Staten Island needs help!
They need gloves, garbage
bags, blankets, sweater, all clothing and batteries to this parish: Church of

*Congressman Nadler and NYU
have an URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS to help deliver 1,600 meals TONIGHT to people
without power in our NYU community.

Volunteers are needed ASAP. Please
meet in the lobby of 3 Washington Square Village entrance is off Bleeker Street,
just east of Laguardia Place – across from Morton Williams Supermarket-

*If you are without power, water (hot or cold), heat, and/or internet
go to 83 Wyckoff in Bushwick, Brooklyn

*Frassati Fellowship needs
your help!

They have been asked to gather a team of cars or vans to
deliver canned goods and supplies to the people devastated by the hurricane.
Would you be willing to volunteer your car and time to pick up these items
from Catholic Underground tomorrow night at our Lady of Good Counsel,
and
deliver them on Sunday? Exact details will be made available once we have actual
volunteers with vehicles. Please call Nathan, 917-309-4857, if you can
help.

*The Yorkville Common Pantry will be preparing ready-to-eat
meals for fellow New Yorkers.
YCP will be preparing 5,000 brown bags (2
sandwiches, granola bar, chips, juice) on Monday and Tuesday and delivering them
to the Lower East Side, Staten Island, Red Hook, and Coney Island. A number of
YCP-related volunteers will be in on Monday and Tuesday, but we could use you
too! YCP is located at 8 East 109th Street–just off Fifth Avenue and 3
blocks north of TCC. We will begin sandwich making on Monday at 12 noon, and go
until 4 pm; Tuesday from 10:30 – 2:30.
