When I checked my emails this morning there was one from American Express with a pre sale of concerts at Madison Square Garden. Among them was Sigur Ros.

SigorSeeing the advertisment I could not help remembering a witness I had read many years ago about a girl who, after having had an abortion, went home, and for days just laid around and listened to a CD that belonged to her roomate. It was Sigur Ros, an Icelandic band.Apparently, the CD was not in its case,so she did not know what the cover looked like.

Some time later, she came across the CD in its case. She was blown away. She decided she was going to have the picture on the cover tatooed on her arm as a reminder of her abortion, not in a bad way but in her  mind something like making sure she never forgot and lived her life and made it worth it. Her own "memorial."

This is the cover and tatoo:

RosAs I said, this was many years ago and I have often, over the years, used her story in presentations and trainings.

The concert reminder this morning made me wonder how she is doing all these years later.I hope she has found healing through a good post abortion ministry. I know I for one am going to offer up a prayer for her today…please do so as well.
