Bloombergs ads

So, even Planned Parenthood is against Bloomberg's ads. I was amazed that we actually agreed on something until I read they think the money would be better spent on contraception and sex education. Of course! (I did notice their "Teen Wire" page is down but visit Planned Parenthoods advice to teens and you will not be surprised there is teen pregnancy)This is the stuff that is what got us here to begin with! How about self respect, and abstinence?

Still, there is no doubt these ads are beyond terrible, shaming and guilting teens not to have babies(note, not not to get pregnant-if therewere no pregnancy there could not be a baby speaking inthe ads)…no matter what they say, this is a sure advertisement and push to abort if you are pregnant and a teen in a city where 41% of pregnancies already end in abortion.

The mayors office responded to the criticism saying it was "past time to be "value neutral" about teen pregnancy and that we need to "send a strong message that teen pregnancy
has consequences" and that they are extremely life-altering.

Perhaps the mayor needs to learn how "life altering" abortion is for teens. Perhaps he needs to speak to teens who are depressed, who have distanced from their families because of abortion, who have eating disorders and addictions and are not able to function in life. Perhaps he needs to look into the fact that they are teaching kids sex at a very young age (does it feel good? do it, no matter what it is…we will even show you how)and then wonders how this happens. Most of all,  he needs to look at himself, and how his policies and practices have contribute to teen pregnancy.
