GOOD FRIDAY

CFR's stations of the Cross – March 29, 2013 @ 12:00 pm
Every Good Friday, the friars host a Way of the Cross Witness Walk
through the streets of Harlem and the South Bronx. The walk starts at
12 noon at Saint Joseph's Friary, 523 West 142nd Street, NYC (arrive no
earlier than 11:30 am). The walk ends by 2:30 pm at St. Crispin Friary,
420 E. 156th Street, Bronx, NY. There will be a 3 pm Good Friday service
at St. Crispin Friary.

personally try to do this every year..it is an amazing witness to
people throughout the city as we make the way of the cross…

Way of the Cross-Manhattan
Contact Info: (212) 420-0250Pax Christi Metro New York will hold its 31st annual Good Friday Way
of the Cross procession beginning at 47th Street between 1st and 2nd
avenues, across from Holy Family Church, in Manhattan, at 8:30 a.m.

The walk will proceed along 42nd
Street and end between 8th and 9th Avenues at noon. Participants will
stop along the route and pray for forgiveness and reconciliation at 15 contemporary Stations of the Cross. At each station, groups from high schools
and colleges, young adults and peace activists, among others, will
reflect on Jesus’ Passion as described in Scripture and experienced in
modern times.
