On Thursday, December 5th,
Lumina will hold its 2nd Advent Dinner in Rye, New York.
We are very excited to share
what has been going on at Lumina and the great mercy and forgiveness God has
manifested in the past year. We are also blessed to have one
of the men from our ministry scheduled to share his witness. Lumina has been
holding retreats for post abortive men for over ten years now and we have seen more
and more men coming forward to reclaim their fatherhood and assist each other
in healing.
Our honoree this year is Rev.
Mariusz Koch, CFR, Servant of the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the
Renewal. It is difficult to describe with mere words how Father Mariusz has a
heart for those who are post abortive. In addition to directing many of our
retreats, both day and weekend, Father Mariusz developed the men’s ministry
with me and has been instrumental in beginning the day for siblings of aborted
babies which we have held for the past four years.
Fr. Mariusz’s humility, total
selflessness, and love are apparent in all that he does and we are so very
blessed to be working with him.
In addition to postabortion
retreats, Father Mariusz and I developed a priest training day to assist the
clergy in how to respond to those suffering from abortion. We have conducted trainings
in numerous dioceses.
It is not often that you meet
someone who you feel truly emulates Christ, but Father Mariusz is one such
person. Please join us as we honor him.
