I was blessed to spend Saturday afternoon with Maureen Ciardiello, the new Director of Respect Life Ministry for the Diocese of Bridgeport, as we celebrated an "Afternoon of Prayerful Remembrance & Intercession," at Our Lady Star of the Sea, in Stamford, Connetticut.

As always, it was a beautiful, grace-filled afternoon of reflection, and a manifestation of God's incredible love and mercy. A thank you to all who volunteered for the readings, to David for the beautiful music, Fr. Peter and the other priests for hearing confessions, and to those who joined us.

As Maureen embarks on this new venture, I have no doubt her gentle heart and love for God will touch many who need healing.

Jesus we trust in you!
