Isaiah61_1-2

I love the messages of Pope Francis… forgiveness, healing,
wholeness, renewed joy, and the humility of being a sinner in need of God’s mercy, but
having the chance to obtain the unattainable through the grace and love of God.

We have a God who patiently waits for us and invites us to trust
in His mercy. His invitation to be freed from our sinfulness is a message of hope, of freedom,
of life!

I often feel that we who have experienced abortion are given
the message that there is no true healing from abortion and that we will suffer
our entire earthly lives because of our participation in the deaths of our
children. That is not the God I know.

I know that is not true because I know what He has done for
me. I know the depths of despair I lived with, and I know the life, although totally
unworthy, He has given me.

I know Mercy, Jesus Christ Himself!

He desires to give us this life to all of us no matter what
the sin. He desires to bring us to His peace and joy!

"The Spirit of
the LORD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to bring
good news to the oppressed and to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners.

Isaiah 61:1

There seems to be such confusion when it comes to not
forgetting about an abortion and suffering. No, you will never forget, but
freedom from suffering is there. Believe it and claim it. Do not listen to those
who tell you it is not possible and who place limits God’s mercy. Do not listen to those who speak to your brokenness as if there were no hope for healing.

I know He will not let you
down!
