Talk about the exploitation of women! This breaks my heart. Series 5 of MTV's "Teen Mom" is slated to televise the abortion of one of the young women on the show.
Jenelle Evans says, "At the time I needed to do what I needed to do. I wasn’t in the best situation. I was living back at my mom’s, just got arrested for a felony charge, and I mean, I was in such a depressed state. It was just … my body was so out of whack."
There is no doubt this poor girl is going to live to regret all of this. The exploitation of someone in a desperate situation, history of heroin use, felony charges, four pregnancies, admitted depression… it makes my stomach turn. Where are all the "pro woman" groups that supposedly care so much about women?
Jenelle may not know better because, as she says, her life was a mess. However, adults at MTV should know better. This girl needs help – not exploitation.
I pray when all that has happened to her hits home that she is able to find the help she needs to work through it all, not only the abortion, but I am sure the anger that will come for having allowed MTV to exploit her in this awful way.
I used to work in a rehabilitation facility where so many of the women are post abortive. It is a vicious cycle of deadening pain and addiction.
It is so sad and, in my opinion, a crime that MTV is using her like they are.
