Beginnning the Lenten Journey

I say it every year, I love the season of Lent. There is a quietness about it.  If we stop in the silence and listen, it brings about an intimacy with Christ.

For those of us who have had an abortion, it can bring us to a deeper appreciation of what Jesus Christ did for us in dying on the cross.  While I am called during this time to repent, look at my sins and be called into deeper conversion, it is also a time to focus on Christ and His redemptive act, the only true freedom for the forgiveness of our sins and hope in life everlasting.

A few years ago I tried to take the readings from Lent and do a daily meditation in relation to healing from abortion. I will attempt to do that again this year. I welcome any input or even any posts from all of you.

May we all journey together, under the mantle of Mary and into the arms of our Merciful Jesus to find His forgiveness, and the only love deep enough to heal our wounds no matter what they may be.

Blessed Lent!
