Esther C:12, 14-16, 23-25
Psalm 138:1-3, 7-8
Matthew 7:7-12
Jesus said to his disciples: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asked for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asked for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him. Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.”

Ok, I am going to admit it. Before my healing when I heard this scripture I would immediately think, "but I had an abortion, I do not know how to give good gifts to my children." It fit right in with my thought of "forgiveness for everyone else but me…see, I really committed the unforgivable sin!"
I was not capable of relating it to God and His goodness because I was stuck on myself and what I had done. But Jesus tells us in this Gospel that we can depend on God. That He is there waiting for us to ask of Him all that we need.
Yes, I messed up majorly by aborting my child, but I do know how to give good things, that is why I suffered so much, because I did not do what I knew to be right but followed my own will out of selfishness and self-preservation.
Lord, help us to always know that you are there waiting for us to ask, even longing for us to ask from you what we need. We know Lord, that you will provide everything we need for our salvation, all we need to do is ask. Amen
