For with the LORD is kindness
and with him is plenteous redemption;
And he will redeem Israel
from all their iniquities.

The name of the ministry I developed with the Sisters of Life is "Entering Canaan." The name came to me in prayer one day before the Blessed Sacrament. At first I had no idea how it could possibly fit in to post abortion healing, but as I read the story of the Israelites' flight from Egypt to the Promised Land, I could see clearly why God would choose this name for the ministry.

The Israelites left a land of persecution to embark on a difficult road with the hopes of coming to the land of milk and honey. Along the way, they endured many battles, but never gave up.  Instead, they had hope in God who promised them He would be with them always.

God does the same with us in our healing from abortion.  It is hard at times and it seems He is so far away. We are tempted with many things and may want to give in to despair or perhaps do not feel like He is there with us but, He is.

Help us Lord to place out trust in you in the the face of temptations and attacks. May we base our healing journey on your promise of being with us even when we cannot feel you there knowing you will redeem us from all our iniquities. Amen.
