Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

 "Blessed are the Merciful for they shall obtain mercy."

Boy, do we want mercy! We yearn for mercy and are so grateful to God for bestowing it on us. How can it be possible that He is so generous with His love?

And yet, are we not often the ones who have trouble forgiving and being merciful to those who were involved in our abortions?  Do we often hold grudges or refuse to forgive?

Do we judge those who judge us because of our abortions? Do we fail to see that we are all sinners in need of this mercy that we ourselves longed for?

Lord, help us to show to others the mercy you have shown to us. No matter how difficult it may be, may we follow your example and choose to forgive and show the mercy we have been shown. Amen
