In spite of the fact that we feel remorse from our abortions, many of us, like the children of Israel in today’s reading, complain against the LORD, when it comes to our healing.

If things are not going as fast as we would like, or if we still have moments of despair or struggle, we are quick to think that God is not there for us. We have no patience, like the Israelites, even though God has begun His work in us. When things are not going the way we think they should go, we grumble and think He has left us, instead of trusting in His love for us. We want healing HERE & NOW!

In the gospel Jesus makes a starling statement to the Pharisees , “For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins."  A reminder that they will die, not because He cannot or would not save them, but because we did not believe in Him!

Today, let us ask God to help us in our impatience, reminding us always that God is in charge and that we need to trust Him who is the I am.
