Patience is not one of my virtues, so the “waiting” that comes with the Advent season can be difficult for me. I truly need to make a conscious effort to stay in the “presence” of the anticipation of Christ, and to relish
the joy and peace of the moment that comes from the expectation of the birth of Mercy.

This year I am excited as we venture into the “Year of Mercy” as well. Divine Mercy has been a part of my daily life for over thirty years. I trust in its promises, which I know are true through my own life, in the work of Lumina, and in the ministry of “Entering Canaan” .

The graces of this time will be abundant and I am feeling them already, as I know God is calling many souls to His heart during this extraordinary year. Twenty- five post abortive people will travel to Medjugorje on March 2-10, 2016 for an “Entering Canaan” Mercy retreat. Under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Mariusz Koch, CFR, and Rev. Conrad Osterhaut, CFR, and orchestrated by Our Lady, I know many extraordinary graces will
accompany it, as she reveals her plans for us during the gift of this retreat.

I am so very blessed, through the work of Good Counsel, to be able to play a small part every day in revealing the mercy of God to those who are isolated, alone, and with no hope of healing because of a past abortion. It is an amazing gift to watch someone being transformed as they meet Mercy Himself and obtain the tools they need to work through an abortion experience.

None of this would be possible without your generosity. Please be assured of our prayers for you as we embark on this new year and travel to Medjugorje. We ask you to keep us in your prayers as well, and to remember us financially if possible, as we continue to call those separated from God back to His Merciful heart.

Praying for a Blessed Christmas and Merciful New Year for you and your families.

Theresa
