Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

I am posting this on the blog because I believe we really do need to pray for one another. I know you will!

The devastation of abortion still continues to be denied, leaving so many without hope of healing. As I write this the DNC is taking place where abortion at any time, for any reason is promoted and women like the one mentioned below are ignored.

Let's all pray for her, for Clarissa in Ohio who does the EC ministry and wrote the post below. May this woman feel the love and forgiveness of Christ and find a ray of hope lighting a way to Him and know she is not alone.

Friends….I write to you with a sad heart this morning. A young post abortive girl I have been mentoring attempted suicide Saturday night and is in the hospital. Over the years I've met with many women who suffer the terrible and devastating wounds of abortion, even some who also have been suicidal but never have i received a phone call from someone's mother like I did this morning. We were actually scheduled to meet today. My heart breaks for her and her family and I pray she will get the help she really needs. I have been trying to help her deal with some deep anger she has since her abortion just months ago. She didn't show any signs of hurting herself and was so happy to be in touch with me. I have to admit, this situation not only saddens me but I too feel angry. Angry that the abortion industry, politicians, even some of my own friends and family continue to push that abortion is good for women. That its their body, their choice. Women dont WANT abortion! They choose abortion because they feel they have no choice at all! They choose abortion because they are afraid ….or have no support, even lied to by many, told its just a simple surgery. My friends, we know the truth, we know its a life, her childs life, and for some, this reality is too much to bear….so they try and cope. Some with drugs alcohol, promiscuity. They are plagued with depression and anxiety, guilt and shame. No one knows so they feel like they are in a prison. So they try to escape that prison, even attempting suicide. I am grateful her attempt was not successful and hope we can connect again when she recovers. Please join me today to pray that this young woman turns her heart to the only one who can save her, to the Healer and Redeemer, Jesus. That she feel his mercy and love and find hope in her life again. And pray that abortion will end and ask God how you can help to end it. Once again I'm so grateful for what God has done for me….I no longer live in that prison shackled by the chains of abortion. Today I again offer my life for all those that do. Use me Jesus, and give me courage to embrace whatever you send. I am yours…
